Nordlichter Region Weserland

With its participation in the German federal programme "Regions active - region shapes the future" (funding from 2002 to 2005), the Wesermarsch, in the alliance with the "Nordlicher-Region-Weserland" together with the cities of Bremen and Delmenhorst and the Districts of Osterholz and Verden, is one of 18 selected regions in Germany that is developing new exemplary approaches for a consumer-oriented, sustainable agriculture. The town/country co-operation of the Wesermarsch with Bremen is the precondition for a close intermeshing of the production and sales market.

North Sea Rural

Against the setting of the demographic change taking place, solutions are being elaborated within the framework of the Interreg III B - North Sea Rural (2004-2006) project for rural regions in the fields of business, transport and social services. As well as the Wirtschaftsförderung Wesermarsch GmbH, the sole German partner, England, Holland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, are also involved.
